From “Babe, can you print this?” every 15 minutes… to bliss. 😂

My wife runs a Shopee hustle. One day she bought a thermal printer she swore was wireless. It… wasn’t. To keep the peace, I turned a spare Raspberry Pi 3 into an AirPrint server so her iPhone could print shipping tags. 🕊️

Then she traveled. New ritual: “Can you print this order?” every 15–30 minutes.

Solution brain kicked in. I built a tiny iPhone app (one big button!) that calls a secured HTTPS n8n Webhook → HTTP Request flow. The webhook triggers the Pi; CUPS does the rest. Labels pop out from anywhere. No more husband-as-print-server. 🖨️✨
Net result: time saved, sanity saved. She prints from anywhere.

Next up: packaging (a.k.a. my Lazy Engineer arc).
I want a goofy little robot that grabs the freshly printed label, slaps it on the parcel, nudges the right size box over, and does a victory wiggle when it seals the tape. Zero meetings, maximum tape. If it can also remind me to restock bubble wrap and say “good job, king” after every package—perfect.

Tiny automations > constant interruptions. If it annoys you twice, automate it once… and if you’re lazy, automate it thrice. 😉
